While waiting for nuclear war, why not listen to Radux?
Radux’s brand of irradiated retrofuturism is deeply rooted in the first wave of thrash and crossover metal of the mid-eighties. Taking cues from genre greats such as early Anthrax, Nuclear Assault and Destruction, this Tampere-dwelling youthful quartet have blasted a trail of violence and force with their demo material over the past five years, garnering quite a following for themselves in the underground. Radux’s first vinyl offering has been in the making for some time, but these 12 inches of nuclear devastation are now ripe for release.
Fronted by the vocalist and bass player Juho, the band features Markus and Joacim on the guitars and, as of the printing of this text, no permanent drummer. With this lineup the group dwells on the current and future doom and gloom of the world and seeks to inform the masses on at least some select injustices as aggressively as musically possible.
Radux’s vinyl debut, Disaster Imminent, is out on Svart Records on September 14th in a limited edition of 300 copies only.
