Meet the next big thing in Finnish psychobilly, The Shrieks. This frantic all-female band has played over 100 live shows and charmed crowds with their fierce gigs in Finland, Germany, Sweden and Estonia. They have shared stages with e.g. The Brains (CAN), Long Tall Texans (UK), The Polecats (UK), Hola Ghost (DK), Banane Metalik (FRA), The KDV-Deviators (DE), Blue Rockin (DE), The Devil ‘n’ Us (DE), The Peacocks (SUI), and Queens of Everything (CZ).
The Shrieks released their debut album Get Over Here in May 2015 (Big Money Recordings), two years after their debut EP Blood And Lunacy (self-release). Blood And Lunacy was a captivating and energetic release, and Get Over Here took the band to a whole new level. The raw fervor of the debut EP was refined into an impressive combination of catchy choruses, powerful harmonies and skillful rhythms, and while the band has created a sound and a style of their own, they are not afraid to borrow from the past either. Get Over Here was recorded and produced by Rami Helin, who is known for his work with e.g. Sweatmaster and The Flaming Sideburns, and the album was mastered by Pentti Dassum (Deep Turtle, Cosmo Jones Beat Machine etc.).
