In the summer of 2022, Black Pyramid entered Sonelab Studios in Easthampton Massachusetts to record the album “The Paths of Time Are Vast,” their first new full-length album since 2013.

In some ways the new songs revisited the roots of their first album, centering around mind-crushing riffs blasted through massive amplification, stone-solid drumming, energetic basslines, impassioned vocal deliveries, and esoteric lyrics.

The breadth of time had led the band to travel new paths outside the confines of the doom continuum; experimenting with complex, longform arrangements, space rock and post-metal styled psychedelic soundscapes took the band’s sound into a whole other cosmic dimension.

Set for a May 2024 release on Totem Cat Records, “The Paths of Time Are Vast” represents the band in their heaviest and most mind-bending, consciousness expanding incarnation.

Black Pyramid is looking forward to showcasing the complexity and otherworldly intensity of the new songs onstage alongside tried and true fan favorites from the early albums.
